About the role


Excellent opportunity in Human Resources (HR) to work with a fun hardworking diverse global team. As a GPS HRIS Manager, you will be an important part of ASSA ABLOY’s Global HRIS Program as we move to SAP SuccessFactors and transform how our candidates, employees and managers interact with us, our HR processes and technology. This role serves as a representative on a global team and is responsible for participating and leading this initiative for their division. This includes providing direct support for: implementation, data quality, engagement and utilization.  As such, this role requires a team player with strong customer focus, bigger picture thinking, who can understand the interconnections of our HR systems, processes and data. This is an individual contributor position, and suitable for someone who enjoys change management and working with various stakeholders including HR business partners, GPS Champions, Business Leaders, and employees.

The Opening Solutions Greater China & South East Asia organization includes current and future operations in China and Vietnam. The region has about 6,500 employees. In this role, This position will report to the Regional VP HR Greater China and South East Asia. The role will be located in Shanghai China.


Essential Functions

  • Serve as the GPS (HRIS) champion and subject matter expert for your division
  • Training and education of your division subject matter experts, Tier 1 support (Local HR) and other relevant training sessions as required
  • Implementation of our global processes and GPS (HRIS) system for your responsible countries and/or division
  • Consult with cross functional teams and departments within your division to determine GPS needs
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners to increase Employees and Managers engagement.
  • Drive change management effort with GPS champions in the various countries.
  • Partner with the GPS Global Team and relevant parties to define and re-engineer global HR processes and/or system enhancements for our global template
  • Provide functional and technical expertise to your division including system/process enhancements, improvements/changes as well as other strategic initiatives
  • Provide GPS Tier 2 support, including researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Create and cultivate focused customer service with the goal of creating seamless, excellent user experience for all users and HR
  • Act as Directory Master for your division and work together with IT to ensure data accuracy in IRIS.
  • Maintain data security and integrity by regularly analyzing and auditing divisional data
  • Ensures accurate best practice business process/workflows and other system dependencies are in place
  • Maintain data privacy compliance as well as working with local HR to ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Maintains confidentiality of all employee information and other sensitive and confidential information.
  • Attend meetings and provide support that at times will cross time zones.
  • Designing useful dashboards and leverage the system for data analytics.
  • Support other GPS Program initiatives as necessary


About you




  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese as the role will also support China.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in similar role supporting multiple countries in the region.
  • High level of accuracy in data management
  • Must be customer service orientated , patient and able to handle interruptions
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Technical minded
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Understanding of HRIS systems and how they impact wider HR development
  • Excellent understanding of HR processes and terminology



  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previously worked in the capacity of an HR generalist is a plus.
  • Minimum of four (4) years related experience in HRIS required
  • International HR and/or Payroll system experience preferred
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Propensity to act urgently and thrive in a dynamic, fast -paced environment
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Ability to influence and manage change and deal effectively with change management initiatives Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility
