Stiles Custom Metal (an ASSA ABLOY company) is looking to add a Bilingual Human Resources Manager to our team. This position will be based at our manufacturing facility located in Ceres, California.

What would you do as our Human Resources Manager?

You will act as the on-site subject matter expert for human resources matters and provide a broad range of HR programs to ensure an overall positive impact on our employees. 

You would also:

  • Champion HR programs and initiatives in the areas of employee relations, compensation, diversity, learning and development, benefits, safety, attendance, staffing, talent development, and employee experience activities.
  • Facilitate and promote company events and initiatives to improve employee engagement.
  • Provide counsel, coaching and guidance to site leaders and employees.
  • Assist with recruiting activities and on-boarding processes to increase new hire satisfaction and improve retention, while reducing our dependency on external staffing firms.
  • Oversee safety initiatives (reporting, accident investigations, claims, determining root cause and helping to establish countermeasures).
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport and create an environment that promotes well-being and positive morale.
  • Champion labor relations efforts and collective bargaining agreement responsibilities and adherence.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration.
  • Meet reporting requirements accurately and timely.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
  • Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

 

The Skills and Experience you need: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline preferred and a PHR or SPHR would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Familiarity with Labor Relations and California employment laws.
  • Previous experience / exposure to working in a unionized environment.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
  • Experience managing a safety program preferred.
  • Excellent communication and people skills at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and changing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality with privileged information.
  • Comfortable working with MS Office, HRIS platforms (SuccessFactors and ADP e-time a plus), as well as video tools such as Teams

*** Salary: $90,000 and $120,000 +bonus ***
