Distributor Coordinator



Overview of Position:

Work with customers to receive, enter, and manage orders for manufactured products.  Responsible for all customer interaction starting with order entry, through production and shipping.  Deliver an exceptional Customer Experience during every customer interaction.


Description of Duties/Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Talk with customers by phone, in person or via email to receive orders for manufactured products.
  • Review order transmittals and other paperwork to enter and process orders in JDE EPR system.
  • Responsible for order accuracy and order checking including, but not limited to, Configuration, Price, and Product Requirements.
  • Work with Sales, Operations, Engineering and other departments about date management, special requests, freight, and other customer needs.
  • Attend various meeting including, but not limited to, Huddle Meetings, Shipping Meetings, Operational Review Meetings.
  • Dispute resolution from Distributor Network.  Including, but not limited to, order accuracy, price, freight, collections and tax.
  • Ability to understand mechanical aspects of products and product families. 
  • Required to have a technical aptitude to hold reasonable technical discussion with Customer/Distributor.
  • Assists with complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
  • Assist with Continuous Improvement projects including Lean and Kaizen events in order to improve the department.
  • Occasional travel required for training purposes.

  • Requires education generally equivalent to an associate’s degree in business administration.  It is desirable for the employee to possess a bachelor’s degree.
  • Requires one to three years experience.
  • Requires excellent oral, written and email communication skills.
  • Requires the ability to read, write and converse in Spanish.
  • Requires the ability to function as a team member and contribute to group goals.
  • Requires the ability to use a variety of office equipment such as spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, telephone, facsimile machine, photocopier, and a computer printer.
  • Requires ability to learn and understand JDE operation system.
  • Requires basic math skills.
