Talent Sourcing Specialist

Are you an early‑career professional or current student interested in Human Resources and Talent? Are you curious about how companies attract, engage, and hire talent … and how employer brand, candidate experience, and market insight all come together?

If so … we’d love to talk with you.

ASSA ABLOY is looking to add a Summer HR / Talent Intern to our team. This role is expected to be onsite during the internship period, working out of our new Paramus, New Jersey office slated to open in June. The internship will run for approximately two and a half months over the summer and is intended to provide meaningful, real‑world exposure … not just administrative work.

This role is designed to be behind‑the‑scenes and insight‑driven, supporting our Talent and HR team through research, analysis, and thoughtful contributions across several areas. • Support the Talent Acquisition team with early‑career and engineering talent initiatives.
  • Assist with research and preparation work related to shaping an early‑career engineering program.

Learning, Development & Exposure

  • Participate in intake and strategy conversations to understand how candidate profiles are built and hiring decisions are made.
  • Learn how Talent Acquisition, HR, and Hiring Managers partner together.
  • Gain exposure to candidate experience, recruiting process design, and talent strategy.

What we’re looking for:

  • Targeting individuals interested in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field with an interest in Talent Acquisition, HR, employer branding, or organizational development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curiosity, thoughtfulness, and a willingness to learn.
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with information and research.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Comfortable interacting with professionals at varying levels of the organization.
  • Able to work full‑time hours during the summer internship period.
  • Previous internship or work experience in HR or recruiting is a plus, but not required.

Compensation Range: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on background and experience
