Pioneer Industries (an ASSA ABLOY brand company) is adding an Order Detailer to our team. This will be an on-site position based out of our manufacturing facility located in Carlstadt, New Jersey.

What would you do as our Order Detailer?

You will be responsible for interpreting customer requirements and creating detailed drawings, engineering guidelines, and sketches according to manufacturing requirements. You will be an integral member of the team coordinating project details with internal stakeholders such as Customer Service, Sales, Engineering, and Production teams, as well as have the opportunity to interact with our customers.

 

You will also:

  • Create technical drawings that directly impact and ensure product quality
  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their requirements and make appropriate product recommendations
  • Customize existing product designs to meet customer needs while upholding SDI standards
  • Accurately determine all custom product components required for shop drawings
  • Proactively help to anticipate possible issues that may come up during the installation process
  • Assist in updating all necessary hardware templates
  • Provide technical support and prompt resolution of customer issues and discrepancies
  • Process customer orders efficiently and accurately, including specialty orders
  • Maintain and analyze metrics to drive process improvements
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
  • Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

 

The Skills & Experience you need:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Inventor
  • Previous experience within architectural hardware, construction or building materials industry is highly desired
  • Minimum five years of drafting/detailing experience in a manufacturing environment highly desired
  • Diploma in Mechanical or Architectural Technology / Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong mathematical (including Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry) and problem solving skills needed
  • Knowledge of UL specifications a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak with people at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to prioritize projects and changing priorities.
  • Customer service oriented and team
