ASSA ABLOY is expanding and we’re adding an Estimator to our team.
Supporting our Specialties department within the Door Group, this newly created role will be critical in delivering accurate estimates and partnering with customers and internal teams to drive project success.
This role will be based onsite in our new Paramus, NJ office (opening this fall) … offering the chance to help build and shape a growing operation.

What would you do as our Estimator?
You’ll sit at the intersection of customer needs and operational execution … translating drawings into actionable, accurate estimates and helping ensure projects run smoothly from quote to completion.
You will:
- Prepare accurate, timely estimates and quotes for doors, frames, and hardware using established pricing
- Review blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to ensure feasibility, compliance, and alignment
- Partner directly with customers and contractors to clarify scope, address discrepancies, and manage expectations
- Support quote follow-up and tracking, helping improve hit rates and customer insights
- Troubleshoot project and production challenges as they arise
- Coordinate across teams on lead times, capacity, and delivery expectations
- Contribute to a safe, collaborative, and accountable team environment
- Perform other responsibilities as required
- Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
- Compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
What we are looking for:
- High School diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of estimating experience or 1+ year if coming directly from hollow metal/doors industry
- Experience reading blueprints, shop drawings, or engineering drawings
- Comfort working directly with customers, contractors, and internal teams
- Working knowledge of the construction or building materials industry (commercial preferred)
- Exposure to building codes and labeling requirements is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP/order management system experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this role is up to $80,000, depending on experience, skills, and overall alignment with the position.
