Job Title:         Product Quality & Data Coordinator

Reports to:      Product Team Manager

Location:       Carlisle

Hours:           37.5 per week

 

Purpose of the role

To ensure we have industry leading, consistent products performing beyond customer expectations by overseeing product quality control CF12 documentation and subsequent Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required. Supporting the Product Team Manager, you will develop, implement and drive continual improvement of the department, supporting all channels of the business to ensure the Product and Quality of Carlisle Brass continues to be the market leader.

 

You will be responsible for ensuring all of our product data is correct, accurate and up to date. This role will also coordinate and support on projects required by the Product Team Manager ensuring that given projects are completed on time and within budget and vitally that the project’s objectives are met.

 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Gathering and collating product data from our suppliers, and any other relevant parties so it can be easily accessible for other departments. This data is to be stored and maintained as well as updating existing data.
  • Measuring and weighing products to ensure that the data we on the system is accurate.
  • Controlling the data management of our product portfolio and ensuring the correct product categorisation on our Product Information Management System.
  • Conducting inbound checks and any other required product quality checks.
  • Owning the customer complaint log ensuring all customer complaints are captured, reported and actioned with non-conformances raised when required.
  • Ownership of the NCR log to ensure all NCRs are being regularly updated and closed in a timely manner.
  • Reporting on customer feedback and any quality issues found in products.
  • Working in conjunction with our suppliers and any other relevant parties, coordinating product quality checks at source.
  • Developing product knowledge, keeping up to date with relevant standards and sharing the knowledge with the team and across the business where applicable.
  • Ensuring products meet required demand and specification for our customers.
  • Creating and uploading new product SKUs for the Product Team ensuring that the information is accurate and correct.
  • Developing tools and best practices for product and quality excellence.
  • Carrying out additional rework requests where required.
  • Managing data requests and liaising with other departments of the business.
  • Assisting other departments of the business with product related tasks and enquires.

 

Skills, competencies and personal experience

  • The drive to maintain exceptional levels of quality control is essential in this role.
  • The ability to develop an understanding our products is required.
  • Willing to work towards Dip GAI.
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to understand customer the needs of our products is a priority.
  • A strong communicator as a link between the Product Team and other departments of the business.
  • The ability to work calmly and successfully under tight time constraints and pressure.
  • The ability to operate independently and as part of a team.
  • Drive, enthusiasm and energy for achievement.
  • Systematic, organised and accurate.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
