Reports to: Cylinder Workshop Coordinator
Location: Carlisle
Hours: 40 per week working between 07:00 to 20:00 Monday to Friday
Salary: £23,880 per annum rising to £24,380 following successful probation period.

Purpose of the role
To provide customer service excellence across all of our communication channels. To be an ambassador for the Carlisle Brass brand. The purpose of our Cylinder Workshop Administration Assistant is to ensure that we provide a first-class service for our customers, ensuring they receive their orders quickly and with 100% accuracy.
You will be required to undertake a range of duties including processing orders from a range of communication channels, providing support to customer queries, assembly, picking, packing and loading orders for dispatch, receiving deliveries, organising stock and performing quality checks.
Key responsibilities
- Ensuring customer orders across all communication channels are processed quickly and accurately to ensure a smooth order flow to Operations.
- Providing detailed product and service information to our customers.
- Ensuring that problems are resolved, and enquiries are dealt with fully.
- Achieving, maintaining and improving KPI’s, both departmental and personal.
- Building positive relationships with customers and our sales team.
- Escalating issues to the management team.
- Assisting with stock level checking and participate in periodic stock takes as required.
- Accurate documenting and labelling activities.
- Dealing personally, and politely with customers.
- Liaising with the Master Key specialist and customer service teams.
- Management and processing of the Cylinder shop back orders, ensuring always communicating with the Team Leader regarding lead times.
- Taking inbound and making outbound calls to customers.
- Processing of customer returns.
- Assisting in the workshop when required to manufacture cylinders.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested by your manager.
- Working as part of a team within Carlisle Brass.
- Any other duties as reasonably directed by your line manager or other managers within the organisation.
Skills, competencies and experience required
- Comfortable working to targets.
- A mind-set that always puts the customer first.
- Strong organisational & administrative skills.
- Strong IT skills in MS Office applications - Outlook, Excel & Word.
- Able to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Able to work to a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
