As a Product Manager - Signo Readers, this role will focus on end-to-end management of the flagship HID® Signo™ readers within the HID Physical Access Control Solution (PACS) reader portfolio.
The role is an inter-disciplinary position that bridges the product with development, operational, commercial, and support teams to provide best-in-class products and customer experience.
To be successful in the role, the candidate must have experience (minimum 5 years) in product management with an emphasis on electro-mechanical and embedded firmware systems, within the RFID and physical access control industry.
You will be expected to take lead and drive initiatives to maintain, support, and ensure the success of the HID® Signo™ portfolio of reader products, You will work in a global team with Business/Epic owners, Product Owners, Engineers and Operations professionals.

As our Product Manager Signo Readers, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Lead and drive activities for the flagship Signo reader portfolio, with the goal of delivering unique solution benefits with superior customer experience.
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and differentiation to the portfolio by understanding internal and external customer needs, market problems, competitive positioning and technology trends.
- Ensure execution of portfolio initiatives are aligned with the broader reader roadmap, strategic vision, and business priorities and aspirations.
- Manage change to the Signo reader product vision and roadmap based on the broader PACS strategic themes and solution visions.
- Define and deliver clear and actionable product requirements that address internal, external, and market problems for which value can be extracted.
- Drive outcomes, institute a results-oriented mindset, develop and implement metrics that evaluate effectiveness of the product line in relation to lean budgets and guardrails.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, using Agile SAFe methodologies, to align marketing, sales, and product unit teams to drive revenue growth and/or profitability.
- Develop and execute comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies for end-to-end lifecycle planning of the Signo product line.
Qualifications :
- Product development expertise from concept to product launch.
- Product management experience across multiple customer types, technologies, development methodologies, standards and regulations.
- Ability to make difficult trade-offs with intelligent risk taking.
- Market focused mindset and ability to anticipate changes in business needs.
- Strategic thinking and effective management on complex projects.
- Pro-active, hands-on and self-motivated, strong documentation skills.
- Demonstrate cross-functional leadership with Sales, Quality, Finance and Operations.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and drive a culture of change through Change Management.
- Excellent communications skills, able to convey complex information clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.
- Effective communication in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Familiar with CRM tools and analysis such as Salesforce, Oracle-EBS, Oracle-PLM, etc.
- Experience with product development and product management tools, such as Jira, TestRail, and Miro is beneficial.
Your Experience and Education include:
- Bachelor’s degree – Engineering or related field (Master degree is beneficial but not required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of contactless RFID readers, including embedded hardware, firmware with cloud and mobile touch-points.
- Strong knowledge of the physical access control and/or physical security industry.
- Experience with Agile development and lean innovation practices.
- Training in SAFe such as Implementing SAFe and / or SAFe POPM.
Customer Expectations:
- Ability to read and interpret internal requirements, customer RFIs/RFPs, specifications, technical standards, etc.
- Effective management of customer requirements and expectations.
- Demonstrated history of excellence in customer interaction.
Work Requirements:
- Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
- Travel and fieldwork including international travel, therefore employee must possess or can acquire a valid passport / visa.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which you are hired.
