Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Engineering is a key contributor in providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support to HID SAFE customers.

 

In this position, you will work closely with the Regional Sales teams, Product Management, and Delivery Teams to provide and coordinate pre- and post-sales support throughout the entire sales cycle.

As our Pre- Sales Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

•    The Pre-Sales Engineer performs technical identification and qualification of sales opportunities. 
•    Delivers product presentations and builds the technical proposal to be sent out to customers working closely with Sales, Professional Services and Product Management teams
•    Drives evaluations of customer needs for Physical Identity and Access Management and Visitor Management Solutions by conducting crafted product demonstrations and workshops
•    Work with customers and internal product management and engineering teams to promote using HID SAFE technology to solve customer issues

•    Craft and deliver proposals, requirements documentation, ROI calculations, and Architecture & Integration designs tailored to customer requirements.
•    Support and Drive Proof of Concepts and Pilots for Prospects
•    Own and Craft curated responses to RFI, RFP, Tenders, IT security and privacy questionnaire from prospects. 
•    Participate in industry trade shows as required, participate in industry workgroups, and promote HID SAFE technology.
•    Up to 20% travel for sales meetings, product demonstrations, POCs and Pilots as required within EMEA and UK.

 

Extended Pre-sales Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Product and Engineering teams to ensure Pre-Sales and Partner demo environments are kept up to date with new releases
  • Be a technical liaison between Pre-Sales, Sales, and Product Management for HID SAFE related queries.
  • Work directly with the Sales, Pre-Sales, Professional Services and Product Management teams to ensure all Pre-Sales documentation is up to date
  • Work with HID SAFE Professional services team to streamline the project handoff for implementation

 

What we will love about your background:

  • Prior Experience in pre-sales/technical sales of Identity Access Management, Physical Security or Physical Access Control Applications is a nice to have.
  • Knowledge on Enterprise System Integration, Identity management and Access Control is an added benefit
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills specific to sales presentations and software demonstrations

 

Your Experience and Education include:

  • BS/BE/B Tech degree or equivalent education plus relevant industry work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of software pre-sales experience with Enterprise Software Solutions
  • At least 3 years of Prior experience with the below is essential
    • Drafting RFI/RFP or tender responses
    • Demonstration of Software applications to Prospects, Customers and Partners.
