We are currently recruiting for a Hardware QA Engineer, to join our team here in Cardiff!!
The candidate will be responsible for the execution and reporting of test programs performed by Hardware QA in the HID PACS Business Area.
The qualified candidate will support hardware validation, firmware regression and system testing, including installing and configuring hardware and software, and conducting functional testing and non-functional testing.

As our Hardware QA Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by
- Supports and develops automated test processes (including jigs, fixtures, interfaces, and software GUIs etc) to improve the overall test efficiency and throughput of the Hardware test process.
- Contribute to the development, review, and submission of reports and other deliverables.
- Works within the Quality Assurance team for PACS Core products.
- Can interpret and carry out a Test Plan.
- Able to perform tests to a given script (Manual or Automated).
- Able to identify defects reliably.
- Able to communicate defects accurately using suitable and appropriate tools.
- Aware of a range of tools and techniques for test automation.
- Contributes to improving delivery.
- Understands the importance of evidence-based analysis.
- Able to extend existing automated Test Solutions with new Test Cases.
- Aware of functional and non-functional testing techniques.
- Able to compile and publish a Test Report.
Your Experience and Education include:
- An Engineering degree or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1+ years of related experience.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
- Familiar with National Instruments TestStand, LabVIEW and Gurock TestRail,
- Issue Tracking Applications (JIRA) and Wiki (Confluence).
- Realtime Board (Miro).
