Business Development Manager

 

Job Summary:
Drive business in the new construction segments of Single family across the US.  Works with Single Family National, Regional, local builders, Designers, plumbers, and wholesalers to grow market share in new construction segment for Pfister faucets.  Manages the process by working internally with Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • (25%) Implements a business plan to strategically grow territory and maintain business while improving profitability (Single Family)
  • (20%) Develops and maintains influential relationships with key decision makers of new construction locally and regionally
  • (20%) Works with plumber Territory Managers to convert opportunities.  NAM is considered the expert and go to person regarding all SF activity
  • (10%) Coordinates, tracks, and organizes all data pertaining to current builders under contract.
  • (10%) Develops and maintains builder database
  • (5%) Works with National Account Managers to develop vertical Territory Managers and agency reps 
  • (5%) Works with Marketing and training to develop sales support and training needs specific to the builder sales process
  • (5%) Leadership role in Multi-Market and Local builder shows

 

Education and Experience Profile:
•    Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required or 5 years of equivalent work experience
•    Management Experience in Multi-Level Organization preferred

  • 5 years prior work experience as National Account Manager, account management, Marketing management or proven sales

 

Required Skills:
•    Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
•    Ability to strategically develop plans and processes
•    Demonstrated sales and negotiation Skills
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI
•    Self-Motivated with strong work ethic
•    Problem Solver

  • Excellent Strategic Presentation and Networking Skills (both in person and virtually)

 

Work Environment:
Travel required for meetings, training seminars, trade shows and end user presentations. 30% Travel Required.
