About the role
The successful candidate will strategically drive the growth of service-related revenue through proactive acquisition of new customers and expansion within existing accounts. This role focuses on selling service contracts, upgrades, and retrofits for mechanical and electrical automated doors (sliding, swing, industrial, and specialty), targeting commercial, residential, healthcare, office and infrastructure sectors.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the role is responsible for:
Market Development & Sales Growth
- Identify, target, and win new business opportunities for service contracts, repairs, and lifecycle upgrades.
- Execute structured prospecting activities including cold calling, site visits, and industry networking.
- Consistently deliver against new business sales targets contribute to regional growth objectives.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong, consultative relationships with customers across multiple sectors.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts and increase wallet share.
- Act as a trusted advisor to key decision-makers such as facilities managers, operations lead, and procurement teams.
Commercial Execution
- Collaborate with the internal Service Estimator to prepare tailored proposals and technical service solutions aligned to customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal service operations to ensure seamless delivery and scope alignment.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals that achieve commercial and margin objectives.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to support strategic sales planning.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reports on pipeline, performance, and forecasts.
Technical & Product Proficiency
- Maintain a strong understanding of AAES service offerings and technical specifications.
- Conduct site assessments and provide informed, solution-based sales consultations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Service, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to support end-to-end sales execution.
- Participate in sales planning, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in B2B field sales with a proactive, results-driven approach
- Experience in service sales within industrial, automation, or technical environments
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Technical aptitude to understand and sell mechanical and electrical automated systems
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working autonomously
- Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics)
- Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel regionally
