Opening Solutions Designer

As an Opening Solutions Designer with ASSA ABLOY Australia, you'll help develop door hardware schedules and technical specifications used across healthcare, education, commercial and public buildings throughout Australia.

You'll build technical and commercial skills through structured training, mentoring and hands-on experience while working alongside experienced industry professionals.

Experience in door hardware isn't required. We're looking for people who are curious, resilient, detail-oriented and eager to learn. Whether your skills come from study, work, hobbies, personal interests or a technical background, we'll provide the support and training needed to help you succeed.

What You'll Do

• Interpret architectural drawings and project documentation
• Develop door hardware schedules and technical specifications
• Review project requirements for compliance and accuracy
• Support customers and colleagues with technical advice
• Manage multiple projects and priorities
• Utilise specification software and digital tools to deliver practical solutions

About You

You may have gained exposure through study or work in Building Design, Architectural Drafting, CAD, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction, Estimating, Building Products, Door Hardware, Technical Customer Service or other technical environment. Alternatively, you may bring transferable skills, a strong aptitude for learning and a genuine interest in developing a career in technical design and specification.

Candidates with exposure to design, drafting, construction, estimating, hardware or building products may have a stronger starting point, but attitude, learning agility and potential are equally important.

We're recruiting this position in Brisbane (Murarrie)

This is office-based position focused on collaboration, mentoring and learning through experience.
