About the Role
We are on the lookout for a self-driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join our QLD team. Reporting to the National Residential Construction Sales Manager, this role is responsible for the development of new trade business and the management of existing trade/retail accounts across both the residential and commercial sectors. You’ll work closely with builders, presenting integrated digital and mechanical access solutions that add real value to their projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales and achieve budget targets within your assigned territory or customer group.

  • Build strong customer relationships, manage key accounts, and deliver tailored solutions.

  • Identify, qualify, and convert sales leads using project data and market insights.

  • Manage pricing, discount structures, co-op advertising, and promotional activity for your accounts.

  • Deliver compelling product presentations and attend trade shows, launches, and promotional events.

  • Collaborate with marketing, product managers, and national sales managers to optimise customer service.

  • Provide timely forecasting and sales activity reporting to sales leadership.

  • Stay across market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activity.

 

About You
You’re an energetic and proactive sales professional with a track record in business development or account management. You’re comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels and bring a solutions-focused approach to selling. Experience in the building, construction or trade supply industry is preferred.

  • Proven success in sales or business development roles, ideally in the trade/construction sector.

  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.

  • Commercial acumen and the ability to identify new business opportunities.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a national team.
