AR Specialist I

Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands:
The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of customer accounts and performing activities that support the Order-to-Cash process. This position focuses on collections, customer service, dispute resolution, account maintenance, and basic account reconciliations. The role works closely with customers and internal teams to resolve outstanding balances, maintain accurate account records, and support cash flow objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage an assigned B2B customer collections portfolio and take appropriate action on past due accounts
- Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence regarding outstanding balances.
- Resolve routine customer disputes, payment discrepancies, and account inquiries.
- Investigate and reconcile account balances, unapplied cash, and payment variances.
- Maintain accurate customer records, billing information, and account documentation.
- Respond to customer requests regarding invoices, statements, and payment status.
- Prepare weekly and monthly aging reports and communicate collection risks to management.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Billing teams to resolve issues that delay payment.
- Support compliance with company policies, internal controls, and AR procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining collection objectives.
- Assist with special projects and other AR-related duties as assigned
Skill Requirements and Performance Criteria:
- English is a requirement
- Performance and Results Driven
- Strong knowledge of A/R procedures and account reconciliations
- Excellent Computer Skills with Microsoft Office Suite (with strong Excel spreadsheet skills) and ERP systems
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical and process improvement including root cause analysis.
- Strong Organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Daily attendance and punctuality are required for this position
- Demonstrate openness to change, flexibility and adaptability
