HID’s Reader Business Unit is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to support the development of the Energy, Utilities & Construction vertical across North America within the Asset and Item Readers segment.

This role focuses on driving growth through a combination of direct customer engagement and partner-led execution, working closely with system integrators, OEMs and solution providers.

Success in this position requires a commercially driven and operationally credible sales professional with experience in transportation, supply chain, and logistics environments, and the ability to engage in high-volume, time-sensitive, and operationally complex use cases.

The RSM will support execution of the North America go-to-market strategy, build pipeline across priority use cases, and contribute to scalable routes to market across applications such as fleet and asset tracking, warehouse automation, shipment visibility, cold chain monitoring, and yard management.

This role requires a hands-on, execution-focused individual contributor, capable of managing opportunities, supporting partners and converting pipeline into revenue outcomes.

As our Regional Sales Manager, Transportation & Logistics, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Owning and driving the Transportation & Logistics vertical sales strategy across North America, aligned with overall BU growth objectives
  • Building, developing, and converting a pipeline of opportunities across priority use cases such as:
    • Fleet and asset tracking
    • Shipment and inventory visibility
    • Warehouse and distribution center automation
    • Yard, port, and intermodal logistics management
    • Cold chain and condition monitoring
  • Engaging directly with logistics providers, 3PLs, shippers, and enterprise supply chain organizations to support solution-driven opportunities and drive deal progression
  • Developing and supporting a partner ecosystem, including system integrators, ISVs, OEMs, and supply chain technology providers
  • Contributing to scalable routes to market, supporting both partner-led and direct sales motions
  • Managing sales cycles from discovery through proposal and closure, coordinating with internal stakeholders as needed
  • Maintaining strong CRM discipline, pipeline visibility, and forecast accuracy
  • Collaborating closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to refine messaging and drive market adoption
  • Monitoring industry trends such as digital supply chains, automation, IoT adoption, and real-time logistics visibility platforms
  • Representing HID in industry events, customer engagements, and partner interactions within the Transportation & Logistics ecosystem

 

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Supply Chain Logistics or a related discipline preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in business is advantageous.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in sales or business development within the Transportation and Logistics markets, or related industrial environments
  • Proven track record of driving new business and achieving growth targets in solution-based sales environments
  • Experience with RFID (HF and UHF) and industrial AIDC solutions is a strong advantage
  • Experience selling integrated solutions, combining hardware, software and services into operational workflows
  • Ability to operate as a hands-on individual contributor, managing opportunities from discovery through to close within a defined vertical
  • Experience working with or supporting partner ecosystems, including system integrators, OEMs and technology partners
  • Experience engaging multiple stakeholders, including operations, engineering, IT and procurement functions
  • Strong experience engaging cross-functional stakeholders, including:
  • Supply chain operations
  • Logistics/transportation managers
  • IT and digital transformation teams
  • Procurement
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation networks, distribution, and last-mile delivery
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset, with experience working cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering and Marketing teams
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities in parallel
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in evolving and sometimes ambiguous environments.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range does not account for geographic differentials based on the location where the position may be filled. At HID, it is uncommon for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range. Final compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each case.

 

The base salary in the United States is $95,000 to $125,000. The OTE is up to $208,000.
