HID’s Production Team:
The Production Technician II will report to the Production Manager and will be supporting the Production Department with order preparation and provisioning of IDT products. This role may also support RMA with defective products returned from the field for repair services.
As our Production Technician II, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Picking appropriate components and assembling from inventory to fulfill scheduled orders on time under limited supervision.
- Loading customer data into product provisioning software and performing necessary testing/programming of transponders.
- Inspecting items and signing off on all work orders prior to moving products to shipping.
- Following engineering assembly drawing, functional testing procedures and completing all paperwork as required in support of production.
- Supporting Logistics with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Communicating product failures to Engineering to initiate RMA process with suppliers.
- Assisting in preparation of work instructions and quality procedures.

- Ability to work well under pressure and ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Your Experience and Education include:
- Minimum 2-3 years of related experience.
- Vocational school or 2 years college degree a plus.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and plan your workload effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure and ability to multi-task to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaborator with the ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels.
- Must be comfortable collaborating with the engineering team as needed.
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 35 lbs.
- Familiar with ISO-9000:2015
