HID’s Operations Team:
HID Global is looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist to join our Industrial Smart Components (ISC) business unit based in Nazareth, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for inventory control and all aspects of warehouse functions, not limited to receiving, processing, storing, picking, packaging, and shipping domestic and international orders. As our Logistics Specialist, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Responsible for daily shipping and warehousing activities, such as:
- Receipt of materials – verify against purchase orders.
- Prepare daily shipping / package documentation striving for 100% customer satisfaction on completeness, correctness, timeliness.
- Perform cycle counts and update manager on inventory levels.
- Review pick sheets based on customer orders and pull products for each order.
- Move stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production areas.
- Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items and appropriately report/record any discrepancies.
- Ensuring the highest levels of accuracy in the ERP system (Oracle) and shipping software transactions.
- Responsible for the continuous improvement culture by looking for and communicating opportunities to improve performance.
- Participating in root cause, corrective / preventive action activities as required.
- Accountable for the warehouse housekeeping and 5S program
- Responsibility as liaison with the key freight carriers.
- Responsible for addressing safety issues.
What we will love about your background:
- Strong understanding of the warehouse ERP system (Oracle)
- Must possess the ability to work at a fast pace with very high attention to detail.
- Familiar with Trade compliance policies for international shipments strongly preferred.
- Proficient with shipping software such as Fedex Manager, UPS WorldShip, DHL or any other carrier or Freight Forwarder.
- Dangerous good certification a plus
Your Experience and Education include:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse/logistics experience.
