Location: This is an onsite position based out of Berlin, CT 5 days a week (must currently live within commuting distance)

The Door Security Solutions Sales and Marketing team represents more than 30 door, frame, and hardware brands, along with complementary products that come together to deliver comprehensive opening solutions that are safe, secure, and convenient. Our industry‑leading portfolio enables customers to achieve the highest levels of security, performance, and design from a single, trusted source—allowing for fully customized solutions tailored to their unique needs. Supported by the expertise of our door opening sales consultants, customers are guided through every stage of their project, from design and specification through occupancy and ongoing management. The Marketing arm of the team plays a critical role in enabling sales success by developing and delivering impactful sales enablement tools and integrated promotional campaigns across traditional and digital channels to educate, engage, and drive demand.
What you will be doing:
This role focuses on the hands‑on execution of marketing communications that support sales initiatives across key vertical markets and solution areas. The Marketing Communications Specialist creates, updates, and deploys a wide range of sales and promotional assets across traditional and digital channels, while coordinating messaging for trade shows, events, and field activations. Working closely with internal teams and external vendors, the role manages project timelines and deliverables, supports PR and partnership communications, and ensures all work aligns with brand standards, market needs, and evolving competitive and industry trends.
Key areas you will contribute to the role include:
- Develop and implement marketing communication plans that support growth within priority vertical markets such as data centers, government, commercial real estate/national accounts, and retail, and solutions including sustainability, decorative, glass, and windstorm.
- Create, update, and maintain marketing materials including brochures, sell sheets, presentations, websites, case studies, videos, email campaigns, trade show materials, social media content, and other promotional assets.
- Coordinate and support public relations activities, including drafting press releases, gathering customer success stories, and assisting in the development of thought-leadership content.
- Collaborate with the Experiential Marketing team to support messaging and asset creation for trade shows, industry events, and targeted field activations.
- Work closely with other marketing communications team members to ensure alignment across campaigns, vertical strategies, and solution portfolios.
- Support communication needs related to partnerships and joint solution initiatives as assigned.
- Manage project timelines, reviews, and deliverables to ensure work is completed on time and within brand standards.
- Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and contractors as needed for creative development, production, and distribution.
- Maintain familiarity with competitive trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to continually refine messaging and content.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or experience:
- Your background includes a College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: Marketing, Communications, or similar), or have work experience commensurate with, minimum high school/GED diploma.
- 2 – 7 years of marketing or communications experience, preferably in a B2B or solution-focused environment.
- Experience creating content for digital and traditional channels.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or similar tools is a plus.
- Experience with vertical marketing, segmentation, or industry-specific messaging is a plus.
- Technical aptitude and interest in learning about access solutions, building systems, or related technology markets preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with marketing automation or email marketing tools is a plus.
