I.T. Manager, Infrastructure & Manufacturing Operations

 

At ASSA ABLOY, we’re on a mission to revolutionize secure access, and we’re looking for a results-oriented IT Infrastructure Operations Manager to lead and support manufacturing-focused IT operations within our Corbin Russwin facility. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure, business systems, and operational technologies. You will oversee a mid-sized team of IT Support and Techno-Functional Analysts responsible for delivering secure, efficient, and scalable systems that support plant operations.

 

This position will be situated on-site in Berlin, CT and report to the General Manager of Corbin Russwin at ASSA ABLOY.

 

 

What you will be doing

 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team through recruitment, training, coaching, and clear communication of expectations.
  • Define, document, and optimize IT processes to streamline operations and enhance system reliability.
  • Oversee all IT infrastructure and business systems, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with evolving technology needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify business requirements, system objectives, and process improvements.
  • Serve as a bridge between end users, IT Analysts, Business Analysts, and external partners to guide system analysis, configuration, testing, and support.
  • Strategically plan, organize, and manage plant IT infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency and support manufacturing needs.
  • Ensure data integrity, network reliability, and robust backup and security protocols are in place.
  • Align end user needs to support business strategy and performance.
  • Identify and proactively resolve system issues and operational risks.
  • Conduct system audits, analyze findings, and implement corrective actions to strengthen system performance.
  • Maintain asset control, information security standards, and technology governance structures.
  • Implement cost-effective IT solutions that optimize resource utilization and operational value.
  • Develop and manage team performance through KPIs and metrics, leveraging the ServiceNow platform.
  • Research new technologies to further enhance IT operations as we continue to scale the business.

 

 

What we are looking for

 

  • Bachelor of in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related fields required.
  • Prior experience leading or managing teams for a minimum of 3-5+ years.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration/ installation and security protocols.
  • Must have hands-on experience in supporting predominant Windows OS environment with a small demographic of MAC OS end users.
  • Must have experience supporting an ERP system such as JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP, Sage, NetSuite, etc.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge in Windows, Cisco, Service Now, VMware is a must.
  • Strong project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to deliver scalable business objectives & change initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Strong ability to influence and lead negotiations.
  • Ability to break down techno-functional requirements for business leaders.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.

 

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Successful track record in leading teams within the manufacturing domain.
  • Hands-on work experience supporting JDE ERP.
