FlashShip IT Business Analyst  

 

Position Summary:

The primary role of the IT Business Analyst is to ensure that business processes and supporting systems continue to meet business project stakeholder needs. This position is a vital part of ensuring operations continue to produce without interruption.  This person is a hands-on worker who will drive the creation of process models (primarily conceptual/logical level models, often using business process analysis [BPA] tools) and work with others to provide the supporting process ecosystem and implementations (including screen interactions, dashboards, rule management and optimization algorithms). This position deals with the more tactical, day-to-day aspects of discovering, validating, documenting and communicating business-process-related knowledge through modeling, simulating and analyzing current and future states. The Business analyst supports the business process owner, enabling them to make better decisions about changing processes to drive higher performance outcomes consistently.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Defines and documents business functions and processes.
  • Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.
  • Consults with FlashShip management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access
  • Develops training curriculum and conducts formal training sessions covering assigned systems module
  • Research and prepare reports. Consolidates information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making.
  • Liason’s with The Brand PDM teams and works to ensure Product Master Data alignment
  • Travels up to 20% to FlashShip sites for I.T. Equipment evaluations and projects as needed.
  • Supports other Assa Abloy Business Units when directed by management

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation, spreadsheet, flow charting, and word processing applications skills
  • Enterprise Resource Planning System JD Edwards
  • Strong Time management and organizational skills
  • Intermec (Honeywell) RF Scanners
  • Password Resets for FlashShip – could include Business Apps that do not use SSO
  • Troubleshoot Commercial Apps – Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Troubleshoot Basic Hardware and Operating System Basics – Laptops, Desktops
  • ShoreTel Support
  • Cell Phone Support
  • Network and Wi-Fi – Basic Connectivity Troubleshooting
  • Service Now (Service Desk Ticketing Tool)
  • Ticket Lifecycle Management – Monitor for Aging/Stalled Tickets and push to resolution
  • Service Request Processing and Monitoring (i.e., New Hires, Shared Folder Approval and Access, Printer Mapping)
  • Enter and Monitor Change Requests for ERP enhancements
  • Outage Identification for Site\Region as a result of active queue monitoring
