As our Director Bids, Presales and Solution Engineers, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Leading a team of experts in Bid and proposal management, Pre-Sales and Solution Engineering to effectively support sales engagements by allocating and prioritising work to meet the regional sales plan.
  • Providing coaching and support to the team members to ensure development of people’s skills and competences for a constant changing market environment and ensure the team is able to support sales in the region.
  • Working closely with the regional sales team to strategize around the different projects identified and ensure early engagement with selected prioritised projects.
  • Supporting engagements with partners and key suppliers to shape solutions and agree workshare for major opportunities.
  • Working closely with other Regional Director BPS to optimize and align the ways of working within the team and with other stakeholders within CID including, but not limited, to sales, delivery, and credentials.
  • Taking the lead role on all identified and prioritized projects pursuits to ensure CID has the right focus and cross-functional support to succeed.
  • Working closely with the Commercial team to get early involvement and support as well as Sr. Director Product Marketing
  • Working closely with the VP Sales and Bid Management to manage the Bid, Pre-sales and Solution Engineering tasks.
  • Developing and maintaining effective ways of working with internal stakeholders to understand and promote CID products and solutions.
  • Providing market feedback to internal stakeholders to optimize CID products and solutions product portfolio.
  • As a member of the Sales and BPS leadership team, take full ownership and responsibility of the business opportunities for profitable growth.

  • Must possess excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills with the ability to adhere to deadlines.

  • Hands on “Can Do” attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects, successfully prioritizing
  • Proven track record of executing to tight timescales, meeting demanding deadlines under demanding RFP conditions




Your Experience and Education include:         

  • Experience of RFP and customer requirements assessment and qualification
  • Experience of providing technical collateral and pricing for Bids & Proposals
  • Experience of successful Process creation, implementation, management, and improvement
  • Critical opportunity assessment and qualification
  • Experience running “sales lifecycle” processes with sales team; assisting with assessment of the point in the lifecycle; identifying budgets, identifying customer needs and preliminary solutions to take back to Bids team
  • Experience in dealing with ambiguity and managing uncertainty in the solution process with colleagues and core teams
  • Experience supporting international business with subject matter expertise for secure credentials, solution, and services offerings.
  • Consulting on projects with government customers and other agencies
  • Experience of building business models
  • Experience in working closely and effectively with cross functional teams such as Product Management, Delivery, Finance, Engineering, Credential, Operations, and Legal functions as required for compliance, risk management, payment terms; in development of a business solution.
