As Productmanager you are part of the business unit FlexiForce EMEA, part of Sectional Doors & Components (SDC), ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems. You are a member of the FlexiForce EMEA R&D & Product Management team where you will help FlexiForce EMEA grow the brands by driving product leadership through innovation.

 

FlexiForce offers products and solutions for the residential and industrial overhead door business. The product offering covers single components, hardware sets and automation solutions. As Productmanager you’re responsible for the hardware portfolio.

 

You are passionate about building products that our customers love. Your main focus will be on door-producers. You work with cross-functional teams across Europe to design, build and roll-out products that improve customer experience and drive sustainable growth.

 

This position is based in Barneveld, Netherlands.

 

You....

  • Gain a deep understanding of our customers, competition and market trends to define product strategies and generate new ideas that provide value to the customer and business
  • Identify and set short- and long-term strategy for our FlexiForce product portfolio and services
  • Translate product strategy into detailed scope as an input for R&D and key stakeholders to develop projects in time in full and within budget.
  • Develop new product pricing and positioning strategies
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales to support product launches with unique selling points, product positioning and technical content
  • Manage the Product lifecycle from launch to phase-out to drive range maintenance
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on products and services
  • Work closely with R&D to secure technical information & knowledge

 

And… we like you to have

  • Higher technical education (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent by experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager responsible for end-to-end process
  • Background in residential and/or industrial doors industry, the door components industry or building materials or building elements industry is a plus
  • High technical competence in field of mechanics and combined products (components working together to a full solution)
  • Strong understanding of customer and sales needs and ability to translate market requirements into products and product propositions
  • Good understanding and approach to optimize cost structures for product offering
  • An strong appetite for data and insights, to drive data-driven decision making
  • Strength in project and stakeholder management with the ability to speak to different disciplines from commercial to Sales teams to very technical with R&D
  • Team player, used to work in an international setting and with remote teams
  • Strong presentation & communication in English, additional languages are a plus
  • Ability to manage (technical) complexity (different customer needs, go-to-market strategy, high number of items, configured products, etc.)
  • A self-starter, hands on mentality and willingness to dive deep into specific topics
