Senior Manager, Health & Safety

At ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems (Pedestrian), we're transforming how health and safety is embedded across our business. We're looking for an experienced and influential safety leader to drive our next phase of growth, accountability and operational excellence across Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to the Head of HR, this pivotal leadership role will shape and execute our Health & Safety strategy, partner with leaders across the business, strengthen our safety culture and ensure effective risk management across field service, installation and manufacturing operations.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the Health & Safety strategy and transformation roadmap across Australia and New Zealand.
• Partner with operational leaders to strengthen safety leadership and accountability.
• Simplify and enhance safety systems, governance and reporting.
• Lead incident investigations and drive effective corrective actions.
• Oversee workers' compensation and return-to-work programs to improve employee recovery and business outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Manage safety audits, compliance frameworks and regulatory engagement.
• Oversee technician licensing, competency and compliance management to ensure workforce readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Build capability across the organisation through coaching, consultation and practical guidance.
• Lead and develop a small Health & Safety team while influencing stakeholders at all levels of the business.

What You’ll Bring

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Health & Safety leadership experience in a multi-site operational environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading safety transformation and organisational change.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing audits, governance frameworks, investigations and compliance programs.
• Experience managing workers' compensation and return-to-work outcomes.
• Experience overseeing workforce compliance programs, licences, competencies and training requirements.
• The ability to influence senior leaders and drive operational ownership of safety.
• Return-to-Work Coordinator training and ISO 45001 experience will be highly regarded.
