Production Manager

 

The Role
As Production Manager you will oversee all production activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of the products. In doing this, you will be tasked with managing the production team, resources, and processes to ensure customer requirements are meet while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

As the Production Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage all production activities, ensuring the efficient use of production resources, including staff, materials, and equipment to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance in safety, quality, delivery, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage production schedules, ensuring all activities are on track to be completed in a timely manner, with all paperwork is completed, and shipment of products in accordance with customer expectations.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings with the leadership team to ensure alignment and address any operational challenges.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in stocktake counts to maintain accurate inventory, and assist with stack purchasing requirements.
  • Lead the team in the development and adherence to best manufacturing practices and process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to factory employees, ensuring they understand product specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure the factory complies with all OHS regulations and maintains a safe working environment, inclusive of checking and scheduling service to factory machinery as required.

What You Bring:

  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail with a commitment to safety, with an understanding of OHS policies and procedures.
  • An adaptive mindset that allows you to respond quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
