The Position
Based in Bangholme, Vic, for this role as Process Worker is to complete all work assigned to you by a nominated Production Manager/Leading Hands within reasonable timeframes and to a high standard of quality using the established standard manufacturing procedures and safe operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the manufacturing and assembly of roller shutters or other door types as per detail sheets and supervisor direction.
- Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Loading and/or unloading of vehicles and/or trucks.
- Carrying and/or moving goods.
- Welding up frames and guides for counterweight doors
- General assembly of roller shutters
- Use hand held tools such as chisels, saws or hammers.
- Operate powered hand held tools such as drills, routers, sanders or grinders.
- Operate or assist in the operation of other powered workshop machinery.
- Perform basic daily and weekly maintenance on the workshop machinery.
- Clean and maintain Work areas.
- Train lesser experienced staff in standard manufacturing procedures.
- Maintain quality control by following established QC procedures.
Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate will be proactive and self driven.
- A minimum of 2 years’ strong sales experience
- Experience in manufacturing and fabrication highly regarded
