We are seeking a Head of Pedestrian Business BSP AUS/NZ to lead our Australian and NZ business and drive profitable growth in both equipment and service sales. The role is based in our Australian Head Office in Melbourne and leads a geographically spread team of approximately 8 people.
We have ambition to grow substantially from our current strong position. To help drive this growth, we are looking for an outstanding leader who will empower and engage our people to be the very best they can be.
The right candidate will have strong people leadership skills along with good commercial acumen and a proven track record of driving growth and improvement across multiple business areas in a similar B-B environment.
They will have the ability to manage both strategic thinking and day-to-day detail. Being hands-on, they will have the intellectual capacity to cope with the wide remit and complexity, plus get satisfaction from being part of a high energy, results orientated BSP leadership team.
The role reports to the Regional Director for North Europe and APAC and is a key part of the Australian/NZ Leadership team.
Although based in Melbourne, frequent travel to customers and remote teams, plus occasional international travel is a requirement for the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic and tactical leadership of the Australian and New Zealand organisation to achieve financial and business targets and contribute to BSP growth and success
- Ownership of the Australian and New Zealand P&L and Balance Sheet, being responsible for annual financial plans, forecasting and achievement of agreed sales, margin, cost, EBIT and cash targets
- Expansion of margins by execution of a strategy for our commercial offering to customers (pricing, segmentation, terms, agreements). Leading the Australian and New Zealand team to deliver year-on-year margin and EBIT improvements
- Development and execution of mid and long-term strategic plans to build our business to be number one in the Australian and New Zealand pedestrian door market
- Build, coach and develop a strong cohesive team in Australia and New Zealand, focused on efficiently delivering an excellent customer experience
- Personally build trusted advisor relationships with key customers, stakeholders and leading accounts
- Guide, coach, and develop the Australian and New Zealand team to succeeed and build strong succession plans
- Build strong collaborative relationships with the wider BSP and ASSA organisation to leverage synergies, drive a consistent strategy and share best practice
- Act as the voice of the Australian and New Zealand market, with intelligence and competitor analysis
- Put safety as the highest priority in everything we do

Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Sales or Finance or Engineering or Business administration or similar.
- Computer skills: Strong understanding of CRM, ERP, FSM and other business software
- Experience: Significant previous experience leading Operational and/or Sales teams in an industrial B-B environment.
