Profile Summary

The Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative for the IMEA region of HID’s Identification Technology Business Unit is responsible for both helping to grow the IMEA region sales pipeline while also providing direct support for customers in the region. As such, the specific responsibilities include identifying new sales targets, progressing leads that originate through our website or marketing campaigns, and launching new sales campaigns, while also processing customer orders including order entry, checking production, order acknowledgement, shipping status & invoice documents.

Based in the HID office in Bangalore, the ideal candidate will be crucial in driving growth in the region while also being a primary interface with the customer with other internal functions to ensure smooth and accurate transfer of information to customers.

Inside Sales Related Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Follow up on leads from marketing campaigns to progress into qualified opportunities.

  • Daily contact with Customers: reviewing stock level, backlog, open orders, etc.

  • Following up Customers who have not recently ordered product checking products purchased and current availability.

  • Managing the sample request process.

  • Contact assigned customers to review their needs and negotiate orders when possible.

  • Work with sales management to grow the regional pipeline and sales revenue within the region.

 

Business Development-Related Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead generations, customer mapping, client presentations, presales, client demo & POC’s, negotiation, sales conversion & lead Closures.

  • Extensive calling and business meetings with prospective clients to the leads generated through various sources and leads provided by the management.

  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies.

  • Maintaining knowledge of all products and services offered by the company and the market trend to provide adequate solutions to the respective clients.

  • Manage a portfolio of high-value accounts, consistently meeting and exceeding quarterly revenue targets.

  • Negotiate and close high-value deals, consistently surpass quarterly sales target.

  • Collaborating with sales and leadership for weekly reviews.

  • Collaborating with sales team for presales activity, demo, presentations and POC’s.

  • To qualify prospect by meeting customers to unearth the requirement and to position right products and solutions.

  • Developed and maintained strong, long-term relationships with key clients, resulting in an increase in client retention.

  • Conducted regular account reviews, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, leading to an increase in account value and maintaining a healthy sales funnel.

  • Cold calling to the potential clients & forecast accurately and maintain sales reports as needed.

  • Understanding client needs and offering best-in solutions and support to them.

  • Building business relationships with current and potential clients.

  • Tender/Contract preparation & submission, attending Pre-Post tender/ contract negotiations.

  • Collaborating with the management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting them basis

  • short- term and long-term business development plans.

  • Creating and maintaining the database of prospective clients and regularly updating Salesforce CRM.

  • To represent company in EXPO events and creating informative presentations for the client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows and conferences.

  • To work with company engineering and Product teams to design & develop solutions for competing in the market.

  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of products and services, enhancing overall client experience.

  • To follow proper process for order execution and to meet customer expectations on deliveries. Checking the inventories to ensure orders are in stock.

 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Customer focused.

  • Working knowledge of technical characteristics of RFID products.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Ability to work both independently and as solid team player.

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers in conversation and in written communication.

  • Ability to take initiative and be very well organized.

  • Business minded and interest in developing relationship with customers.

  • Pro-active and autonomous.

  • Deadline and detail oriented.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • At least 4-8 years of experience with direct Sales team.

  • College degree, ideally in business administration or engineering.

  • B2B sales experience. 

  • Experience in customer services or related positions.

 

Computer Skills     

  • ERP and CRM experience with Oracle and Salesforce preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
