Role Overview
As part of ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth in the Energy sector through Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems and Access Control solutions. The role combines strategic business development, technical expertise, and relationship management to expand ASSA ABLOY’s footprint in energy infrastructure, utilities, and smart building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Growth & Market Expansion
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in the energy sector for ELV and access control solutions.
- Build a strong pipeline of projects with utilities, EPC contractors, consultants, and government agencies.
- Sales & Revenue Achievement
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with ASSA ABLOY’s global vision.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender submissions for energy-related projects.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Client & Partner Engagement
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing tailored solutions that integrate ASSA ABLOY’s portfolio (access control, door hardware, digital keys, smart locks, and ELV systems).
- Collaborate with technology partners, distributors, and integrators to strengthen solution offerings.
- Solution Expertise & Innovation
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to design customized ELV and access control solutions for energy projects.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in smart energy management, IoT integration, and security systems.
- Promote ASSA ABLOY’s innovations in digital access, mobile credentials, and sustainable solutions.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in the energy sector.

- Provide regular pipeline updates, forecasts, and strategic insights to senior management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in business development or sales within the energy, ELV, or security/access control industry.
- Strong knowledge of access control systems, CCTV, fire alarm, and integrated ELV solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing large-scale energy projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global matrix organization.
- Familiarity with regional energy regulations, standards, and tendering processes.
