Test Engineer II

 

Summary

Metrology Engineer with strong programming/RF metrology experience tasked with designing and implementing custom solutions adapted to diversity of HID equipment across the globe. The incumbent will be part of manufacturing engineering dept. and focused on improving flexibility, productivity and efficiency of HID production lines. Projects could be oriented on existing machine modification, brand new machine design or high-level trouble shooting. The assigned projects will relate to Credentials Provisioning Equipment, Test equipment, sub-parts assembly & lamination, material preparation or antennas winding & bonding activities in front-end factories. Team player with strong communication skills in a global and multi-cultural environment the activities could be driven with HID worldwide teams or joint activity with sub-contractors.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Development of RF metrology capability
  • Handles implementations of machine design PLC programming & wiring for machine modification project and new equipment development.
  • Focus on improving flexibility, productivity and efficiency of production lines.
  • Work in close cooperation with our program and automation managers, operations and technology teams to proactively implement industrial equipment & solutions.
  • Capable of teamwork, of delegating and taking initiatives.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Autonomous, pro-active, flexible, precise

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience working on related field in Manufacturing Industries

 

Education and/or Experience          

  • Automated machines
  • Human Machine Interface (HMI)
  • Electrical wiring
  • CAD for electrical diagrams
  • Have experience working with RFID Technology, Encoders and Readers
  • Have good knowledge in IT (Hardware and Software)
  • Ability to debug & deploy script or software solutions to production environment in different platforms & machines.
  • Proficiency in electronics & electrical failure analysis skills, including operating the oscilloscope, logic analyser, multimeter, current probe and electronic load etc.
  • Must have working experience with the following technologies: Programming C# or C++ / Development environment: Microsoft Visual Studio and Scripting Language like Boo or Phyton
  • Ability to work with PLC programming (SFC/ST/FB) is an advantage

 

Language Skills                   

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
  • Other language an advantage (French, German, …)
  • Comfortable in working in an international team and in a global networking environment.


Computer Skills     

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.

  • Travel and fieldwork including international travel, therefore employee must possess or can acquire a valid passport.
