Summary

The Operations Solutions team develops and delivers software solutions used throughout the manufacturing organization targeting the industrialization and production management of HID products. Those solutions are deployed across the globe, at HID sites and at suppliers and contract manufacturer production sites. Those solutions cover all HID Global product lines (credentials, tags, readers, controllers, panels, tokens, printers, etc.) and various aspects of the production processes such as provisioning, labelling, packaging, reporting, lifecycle & traceability management. This position is based at HID’s largest and expanding manufacturing facility at Kulai, Malaysia.

 


As our SOFTWARE ENGINEER, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Work with engineering and technical support to pro-actively implement industrial solutions leveraging generic platforms.
  • Participate to the full design/development/validation/documentation cycles.
  • Identify solutions contributing to overall manufacturing process improvements.
  • Migrate legacy tools and processes under standardized platforms
  • Maintain security standards for the site and products.
  • Interact with local IT teams to set up proper infrastructure.
  • Embrace the department's overarching architecture and processes guidelines.
  • Embrace A.I. as a tool to build applications and aide in daily workflows
  • Provide level 2 & 3 support to local and remote manufacturing teams.
  • Keep tight deadlines for software enhancements to match product development schedules.

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years experience with software and solution developments, ideally used in industrial applications.
  • Ability to handle priorities well and stay organized in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have working experience with the following:
      • Strong C# background (2 years minimum)
      • Hands-on experience with
            • .Net, .NetCore, HTML, JSON, XML
            • IDEs and development-related tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, VS Code, git/bitbucket.
  • Must demonstrate analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in applied cryptography and key management is appreciated.
  • Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM is appreciated.
  • Knowledge of communication interfaces such as JTAG, SWD, UART, SPI, I2C is appreciated.
  • Knowledge of RFID industry standards such as ISO7816, ISO14443, ISO15693 is appreciated.

 

Language Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
