As our SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

Summary

We are seeking an operationally focused Senior Manager to join our finance team in Malaysia. Reporting to the VP, Finance – IDT, the successful candidate will lead Financial Reporting, Cost Accounting and Accounts Payable activities for HID GLOBAL Sdn Bhd. The role will have a strong focus on cost accounting, financial reporting, standardized processes, strong financial controls, and accurate reporting. The position partners with operations and business leaders deliver impactful cost, direct material, and inventory analytics that drive strategic decisions. Key responsibilities include overseeing planning and forecasting cycles, supporting month‑end close, and contributing to ERP transformation efforts. The role also champions continuous improvement, builds financial models, supports audits, and develops a high‑performing team.

 

Essential Duties

  • Accounting & Reporting
  • Responsibility for delivering monthly management accounts in line with IFRS and
    ASSA ABLOY accounting principles as per corporate calendar
  • Support month end closing, reporting & variance analytics for financial reviews
  • Coordinate and lead the annual plan / quarterly forecasts process for inventory, DPO and cost savings in alignment with operations and business areas
  • Ownership of Balance Sheet review process in line with corporate deadlines
  • Establishment of processes to ensure strict adherence to statutory reporting and taxation timelines
  •  Financial Analysis
  • Support product level cost analysis to assist with profitability trends and goals
  • Responsible for the analytics and communication around direct material by business area
  • Own the inventory analytics, financial reporting, and processes
  • Partner with the business areas to provide ongoing direct material, inventory and   DPO analytics to drive decision making
  • Accounts Payable
  • Manage Purchase to Pay and Travel & Expense activities
  • Oversee compliance with local taxes, accounting standards, and HID policies.
  • Coordinate monthly AP closing activities including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Assist the team in managing daily tasks, documenting same and delivering on a timely basis
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and ensuring payment in line with agreed payment terms
  • Process & Systems
  • Participate in processes, analysis, decisions and execution around the Global ERP transformation program design and implementation, including testing and validation
  • Drive standardization of processes across all entities and sites, with particular focus on cost accounting processes
  • Build transformative financial models to drive insightful analytics for the business
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts to drive efficiency
  • Implement and enforce business controls to minimize risk and ensure financial reporting accuracy

 

Essential Qualifications

To perform this role successfully, candidates must meet the following requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of accounting/finance experience, with 5-7 years specifically in cost accounting or manufacturing finance
  • Minimum 2-3 years people management experience
  • Active CPA license strongly desired
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Able to work in a Global environment
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with IFRS/GAAP
  • Demonstrated track record of team leadership, mentoring, and/or coaching
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP system
  • Experience with HFM or OneStream
  • Knowledge of data warehouse reporting and analysis tools
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. with advanced Excel skills required
