Summary
Maintenance of a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by establishing and enforcing Facilities policies and procedures. Managing and maintaining11KV setup on site and complying with local authorities’ requirements
Essential Duties
BO Chargeman (11KV) is a certified competent person responsible for managing, operating and maintaining high voltage (11KV) and Low voltage electrical systems, key duties include ensuring regulatory compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission), overseeing switchgears, transformers and conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and supervising electrical installations on site.
Primary Duties
- Ensure all electrical systems and installations on site comply with Compliance with the electrical supply Act 1990 and electrical regulations. (ST) Suruhanjaya Tenaga) and TNB (Tenaga National).
- Operate, maintain, and inspect 11KVsubstations, switchgears, transformer.
- Plan and perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Actively troubleshoot, repair and maintaining.
- Ensure all electrical works are safe and supervised. often guiding low-level technicians or contractors.
- Maintain daily logs, update inspection records and prepare maintenance reports.
- ECOS (Energy Commission Online System) 11KV systems registration, 11KV setup licenses renewal and systems maintain. Registration as a competent company person in ST (Suruhanjaya Tenaga). Comply with related local authorities requirements.
- Registration as a Solar PV systems competent company person in ST (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
- Monthly Solar PV generations report and submission to ST (Suruhanjaya Tenaga). And yearly Solar PV systems license renewal.
- EV charging station maintenance and yearly license renewal.
- Respond to any electrical failure on site and electrical safety on site. Conduct troubleshooting and repairing as necessary.
- Lead and conduct 2 yearly recalibrations on 11KV setup on site. (test of protection relays and preventive maintenance of 11KV electrical installations).
- Lead and conduct 2 yearly infrared scanning on electrical systems setup on site.
- Advice on new electrical setup, relocation, projects on site and provide solutions.
- Liaise with ST (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) and TNB (Tenaga National) as neassary and understand the new regulation related and report or share with Facilities Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
- Assist and support Facilities Supervisor on daily facilities task.
Essential Qualifications
- Possess a valid BO Chargeman certificate (11KV) issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of working experience or similar position.
- On-call or on-site support for emergency cases. And respond during major breakdown of electrical systems.
- Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia language, Both verbally and in writing.
- Valid Malaysia driving license and Passport.
- Working on Saturday or Sunday or night shift when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with low-voltage, high-voltage switchgear and industrial electrical systems.
- Good knowledge of Electrical Supply Act 1990 and Electrical Regulations.
- Experience in operating, maintaining and inspecting 11kv substations, switchgears, transformers, voltage stabilizers and electrical wiring and distribution boards.
- Capable of troubleshooting and performing basic repairs electrical equipment.
- Capable updating electrical single line diagram and as built drawings will be advantage.
- Experience in Solar PV Systems operating, troubleshooting, maintaining will be advantage.
- Proficient in MS office applications, such as Word, Excel, Power Point.
Work Environment
- Employees work primarily in an office environment, within a well-ventilated area, and are exposed to moderate noise levels.
- Working outdoors and working at height when necessary
Work Requirements
- Compliance with all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
- Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required. Therefore, employee must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.
