Asst. Manager, Quality
Summary
To lead and motivate the QA teams, driving quality improvement culture and proactively identify areas for development within teams and within the organization.
To ensure exquisite customer services and to act as primary contact to coordinate the roll out of global Quality initiative and programs
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures that all Quality Assurance staffs are adequately trained.
- Analyze customers' complaints, follows up with adequate corrective/preventive actions plans (8D) and response to customers
- Review and initiate internal and external corrective and preventive actions for all non-conformances.
- Compile and analyze quality reports, manage nonconformity material discrepancy reports and recommend continuous improvement activities.
- Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection process for in-coming, in-process inspection and out-going inspection on raw materials and components, processes and finished goods.
- Works directly with suppliers to ensure supplied materials are comply to requirement
- To plan and conduct supplier audit to ensure supplier compliance to their production process and HID product requirement.
- Works with Supply Chain to establish quality requirements for external suppliers and supplier quality performances rating
- Ensure measuring equipment sufficient to support production and calibrated
- Manage DL manpower to support production activity
- Ensure all activities are conducted in manner that complies with environmental control procedures and does not create unnecessary environmental impacts.
- Monitor and ensure compliance to environmental operational controls and compliance with applicable legal and other requirements.
- Communicate clearly on roles and responsibility for environmental control.
- Other tasks as assigned by immediate superior
Qualifications
- Minimum Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical & Electronic) or at least 10 years relevant working experience in the electronic manufacturing industry.
Experience
- Problem solving skills, leadership skills and interpersonal skill
- Trained as auditor (internal and external) for ISO 9001
- Sound knowledge in SPC, FMEA, POKA YOKE System and other quality tools
- Six sigma green belt certified
- ESD knowledge
- Good understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OSHA regulations
- Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively
Language Skills
- Excellent verbal and written skill in English and Malay. Mandarin will be plus
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, Agile, Power BI
- Minitab software

Work Environment
