Due to continued growth, we are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Sales & Business Development Manager to join our Ireland team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a strong understanding of the construction industry and a passion for developing customer relationships and winning new business.
The Role
As Sales & Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of existing customers while actively generating and converting new business opportunities. You will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle, building long-term customer partnerships, and driving profitable growth throughout your territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Create and implement account development strategies for key customers.
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and lead generation activities.
- Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to order placement and successful implementation.
- Prepare customer proposals, quotations, and commercial offers.
- Work closely with the Sales Director to support continued growth and market development.
- Promote service contracts and value-added solutions following equipment installations.
- Support tender submissions and commercial bids.
- Provide technical advice and solution recommendations to customers.
- Collaborate with technicians, internal sales teams, and office-based colleagues to maximise opportunities.
- Build a strong sales pipeline and consistently achieve sales targets.
About You
We're looking for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a customer-focused, technical sales environment.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Experience in project sales, business development, or technical sales within construction, building products, industrial, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of construction sites, building processes, and project-based selling.
- Proven ability to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Irish construction regulations and industry practices.
Desirable
- Experience working within a matrix or international organisation.
- Technical, sales, marketing, or business-related qualification.
