We are seeking a technically skilled and relationship-driven Technical Account Manager to elevate our Strategic Accounts program. As a leading manufacturer of Physical Access Controls solution, we require a professional with deep expertise in physical access control solutions, reader, credential, mobile access, and the related ecosystems. As Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall technical relationship with some of HID PACS’s strategic accounts. This will entail identifying and architecting some of the most complex technology opportunities, optimizing implementations, as well as collaborating with and leveraging various experts to solve challenging technology issues.

 

This role is pivotal in expanding HID’s wallet share by aligning technical solutions with integrator business objectives. As a strong resource to our partners, a thorough understanding of HID’s Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) portfolio along with general understanding of HID’s overall portfolio, technology roadmap, and vision will be required. Additionally, you will be required to monitor market trends and have a strong understanding of the partner’s applicable portfolio to best align strategies and serve as a trusted technology advisor to the Strategic Account.

 

The ideal candidate has experience in the security and/or identity and access management marketplace, possess excellent sales and collaboration skills, strong attention to detail, be very organized, have the ability to manage multiple assignments and excel under pressure and strict deadlines.

As our Technical Account Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Acting as a trusted advisor, identifying growth opportunities, and executing account-specific plans to expand HID PACS adoption. 
  • Designing and delivering programs aligned with partner goals to boost technical proficiency and solution adoption.
  • Tailoring HID PACS solutions to integrator needs, leading workshops and demos, and providing best practices for architecture, integration, and deployment.
  • Partnering with sales engineering and product teams to ensure solution feasibility while staying current on industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with integrator stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution.
  • Acting as the voice of the customer for product improvements and collaborating with regional sales and business development teams to drive revenue.
  • Partnering with Product Management, Engineering, and Support to ensure successful solution delivery, while providing market and customer insights to guide product improvements.
  • Delivering technical onboarding for integrator teams and supporting certification and knowledge transfer initiatives.

 

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 10+ years in the access control industry, with comprehensive understanding of access hardware, software, firmware, and system integration.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical account management, sales engineering, or partner enablement in physical access control.
  • Min 2 – 3 years of in-depth knowledge and experience in HID PACS Product and service.
  • PSP, CSEIP or other PACS Domain certifications preferred.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Proven track record of growing strategic accounts and driving technical adoption.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Customer-focused mindset: committed to solving security challenges and delivering tangible business value.
  • Experience working with large system integrators in the security or building automation space.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, MQTT, REST APIs), cloud integrations, encryption standards (AES, RSA), and device provisioning workflows.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as OSDP, Wiegand, ISO/IEC 14443, UL294, AES, FICAM, PSIA and mobile access technologies.
  • Knowledge of vertical-specific PACS requirements and compliance standards.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range does not account for geographic differentials based on the location where the position may be filled. At HID, it is uncommon for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range. Final compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each case. 

 

 

The base salary in the United States is $120,000 to $160,000. The OTE is up to $200,000.
