The Sustainability Analyst will assist in advancing our sustainability ambitions with a dominant focus on scope three carbon emission reduction goals and other environmental sustainability impact initiatives. This position involves collecting and aggregating data on product weights for different product lines, liaising and assisting engineering and development teams in conducting product lifecycle assessments, using applicable tools for BOM (Bill of Material) analysis, collaborating with stakeholders to gather insights, and assisting in the development of reports for key metrics and supplier responses.

As our Sustainability Analyst you’ll support HID’s success by:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for sustainability data
• Conduct lifecycle assessments of products to identify embodied carbon and environmental impacts
• Assist in preparing reports on key sustainability metrics
• Facilitate comms and collaboration among departments and functions to support data collection needs
• Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
• Work cross-functionally to deploy and integrate sustainable development
• Support training development on sustainability tools and general practices
• Gather and compile critical attributes (product weights, material ID’s, etc.)
Your Experience and Background include:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred or 1-2 years relative work experience
• Strong passion for sustainable development and environmental stewardship
• Ability to collect, analyze, and report data in an effective and efficient manner
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills (with proven ability)
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Interest in project management and leadership development
• Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
• Proficiency in using email (e.g., Outlook) and communication platforms (e.g., Teams) for effective collaboration.
