HID Global is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Planner to join our dynamic supply chain team in the Physical Access Controls Solutions business unit.

The Supply Planner will be responsible for ensuring that products are available to meet customer demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

 

This role involves analyzing data, managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and collaborating with various departments to achieve efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations.

Who we are :

HID PAC’s Business Unit focuses on the growth of new clients and existing clients where we leverage the latest card and reader technologies to solve the security challenges of our clients. Other areas of focus will include authentication, card sub systems, card encoding, Biometrics, location services and all other aspects of a physical access control infrastructure. 

 

As our Supply Network Manager , you’ll support HID’s success by:

1.  Planning and Forecasting:

   - Analyze historical data, market trends, and other information sources to develop accurate supply forecasts.

   - Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to integrate market intelligence and promotional plans into supply forecasts.

2.  Inventory Management:

   - Monitor inventory levels and ensure they align with forecasts and company goals.

   - Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess and obsolete stock while avoiding stockouts.

   - Optimize inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs through effective planning.

3.  Supply Chain Coordination:

   - Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials.

   - Coordinate with procurement, operations, and logistics teams to align supply plans with production schedules and customer requirements.

   - Manage the supply planning process from plan creation through purchase order issuance to delivery, ensuring adherence to lead times and order quantities.

4.  Process Improvement:

   - Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply planning function.

   - Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.

5.  Data Analysis and Reporting:

   - Utilize supply chain software and tools to analyze data and generate reports on inventory status, forecast accuracy, and other supply chain performance key performance indicators.

   - Present findings and recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making.

6. Risk Management:

   - Proactively identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.

   - Ensure contingency plans are in place to address supply disruptions and demand fluctuations.

Education and/or Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in supply planning, demand planning, or inventory management.

- Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA) and advanced Excel skills.

- Certification in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or similar is a plus.
