As our Sales Manager for the Industrial Smart Components (ISC) Business Unit, you’ll play a key role in expanding our RFID transponder business across North America, with a strong focus on consumable equipment markets and industrial verticals.

The Industrial Smart Components (ISC) Business Unit, within IDT, is a global leader in producing standard and custom passive RFID tags and labels for industry & logistics, healthcare, animal identification and fueling automation markets, with manufacturing sites in Malaysia, China and the United States.
As our Sales Manager ISC, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Acquiring new customers and developing existing customer base in the above-mentioned region, to the consumable equipment market and other industrial verticals.
- Recognizing and understanding the customer requirements during the pre-sales process and educate customers on HID product offerings that solve their business challenges.
- Driving the entire sales process, from prospecting and initial contact, to consulting on product offerings that meet the customer’s needs, to commitment of design-in solutions. Collaborating with product management and engineering specialists as required.
- Working with sales and marketing management to plan and implement marketing and sales campaigns for your defined customer base to drive brand recognition and grow the business.
- Attending and participating in tradeshows, exhibitions, as well as partner events
- Hunting for new customers and growing revenue and nurturing relationships with existing customers.
- Completing forecasts and revenue reporting by regularly scheduled deadlines
- Building a project pipeline to secure the ISC long-term business growth
- Acting as an industry expert in future market trends, and coordinating with product management on potential new products to meet these trends
Your Experience and Background include:
- Ideally, you have technical training or previous education, but in any case, you have a high affinity for technical products
- An understanding of RFID technologies with a focus on the RFID tags and labels would be helpful but not necessary.
- You have several years of sales experience and are confident speaking to all level of customers (Engineering, Procurement and C-Suite)
- Passionate about sales topics and about selling components
- Cold calling and remote selling are no strangers to you and you deal confidently with resistance.
- Strong experience in hunting, cold-calling, and closing new customers, including social media outreach
- Communicate in the English, both verbally and in writing
- Effective and timely follow-up to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members
- Develop presentations and write content as an industry subject matter expert
- Present information to boards of directors, technical managers and/or public groups
- Interact in a professional manner with the Sales team, Business Development Team, Product Marketing, and other departments within HID
- Read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with SalesForce (or other CRM platform) and Concur is a plus but is not required.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range does not account for geographic differentials based on the location where the position may be filled. At HID, it is uncommon for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range. Final compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each case.
The base salary in the United States is $98,000 to $108,000. If a sales role include: The OTE is up to $180,000 (this figure will be the max potential OTE).
