Inspects and test HID access control products, assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts and cards for conformance to specifications in accordance with written instructions and procedures or verbal instructions by performing the following duties.  Conducts Return Material Authorization (RMA) products, assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts and cards.  Responsible for the Operation of Readers and Cards IQA and Readers, Printers, Credentials RMAs, monitoring the day-to-day backlog and assignment of daily items for the IQA and RMA area, ensuring an efficient operation in achieving quality targets. Provide leadership and line oversight to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any  issues, and ensuring IQA/RMA targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards  are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer.

As our a Quality Assurance Inspector III, you’ll support HID’s success by: 


•    Performing ISO testing of HID access control products, assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts and cards including functional, operational and destructive tests.
•    Performing cosmetic inspection of HID access control products, assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts and cards readers for surface defects such as chips, scratches, contamination, workmanship and physical damage.
•    Performing qualification tests and documents results using appropriate forms and templates.
•    Approving in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and required tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
•    Conducting internal audits to ensure that all assembly, inspection, and testing steps were performed according to specifications.
•    Actively involved in our continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), Preventive and Corrective Action, and Safety programs.
•    Working closely with cross functional teams such as customer service, engineering, and operations.
•    Reviewing drawings and specifications for HID access control products, assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts and cards, such that incoming inspection can be performed against those specifications.
•    Conducting HID RMA evaluation process for all HID access control product returns

 

Your Experience and Background include:  


•    Must have H.S. education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Must have at least 3-4 years of manufacturing experience, including experience in inspection within an Manufacturing environment, including first article inspection of raw material. Experience in access control products and credentials desirable.
•    IQA Inspection experience or 2 year college course work in Quality/Manufacturing processes preferred.
•    Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, instructions and procedures
•    Hands on experience with Lean manufacturing desirable.
•    Must be able to perform arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
•    Experience with material and tool qualifications
•    New Product Introduction process experience
•    Data reporting experience
