As a Product Manager, Government Solutions USA, this role will focus on end-to-end management of the US Government Solutions within the HID Physical Access Control Solution (PACS) business.  The role is an inter-disciplinary position that bridges the product with development, operational, commercial, and support teams to provide best-in-class products and customer experience. 

 

To be successful in the role, the candidate must have experience (minimum 7 years) in product management with an emphasis on Physical Access within the US Government space.

 

You will be expected to take lead and deliver on initiatives to maintain, support, and ensure the success of the existing product line including the pivCLASS Solution and strategize on the future of the portfolio. You will work in a global team with Business/Epic owners, Partners, Architects, Innovation, Engineers and cross-business unit/area professionals to harmonize platform capabilities of readers.

As our Product Manager, Government Solutions, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Understanding customer needs (communicated through product marketing and solution management).
  • Developing and communicating product vision and strategy.
  • Ensuring execution of portfolio initiatives are aligned with the broader reader roadmap, strategic vision, and business priorities and aspirations.
  • Breaking down Epics and Capabilities to Features and Enabler Features, with the support of Architects.
  • Working closely with Architects and Product Owners to facilitate further break down.
  • Managing priorities and backlog to ensure timely delivery of Features.
  • Acting as Product Manager in PI Planning and all other SAFe rituals.
  • Interacting with QA teams to ensure proper coverage.
  • Being responsible for the quality of assigned products.
  • Being responsible for obtaining and keeping relevant certifications.

 

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • Bachelors Degree – Engineering or related field (Master degree is beneficial but not required).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Product Management, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of contactless RFID readers, including embedded hardware, firmware with cloud and mobile touch-points.
  • Experience with Agile development and lean innovation practices.
  • Training in SAFe such as Implementing SAFe and / or SAFe POPM.
  • Significant experience in software and firmware development.
  • Experience in hardware centered solutions.
  • Experience with Product Management in agile development scenarios.
  • Analytical thinking and strategic mindset with strong business and technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrate strategic business judgement in technical matters.
  • Excellent communications skills, able to convey complex information clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.
  • Familiar with CRM tools and analysis such as Salesforce, Oracle-EBS, Oracle-PLM, etc.
  • Experience with product development and product management tools, such as Jira, TestRail, and Miro is beneficial.
