The Procurement Manager leads HID’s Secure Issuance regional procurement team, overseeing sourcing, purchasing, and supplier quality for materials originating from North America and Asia-Pacific to support inventory flow into global fulfillment centers. This role drives the development and execution of regional sourcing strategies across a diverse supply base while balancing cost, quality, and continuity. The manager is responsible for day-to-day procurement operations, supplier management, and purchasing execution, while also advancing the team toward a regionally anchored function capable of owning supplier relationships, supporting global initiatives, and enabling future manufacturing readiness. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership and people development skills, along with deep expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier development, and process harmonization across Secure Issuance business units.

As our Procurement Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Leading a regional team of procurement professionals (buyers/planners, commodity managers, and supplier quality support) by setting clear KPIs, managing performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Overseeing daily procurement operations, including MRP execution, open order management, and supplier engagement.
  • Serving as the primary escalation point for global fulfillment risks, supply shortages, and critical supplier issues; drives resolution in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Aligning procurement activities with SIOP cycles, fulfillment operations, and new product launch timelines to ensure inventory readiness and supply continuity.
  • Facilitating recurring internal supply reviews and external supplier business reviews; tracks operational KPIs such as OTD, shortage mitigation, and late line performance.
  • Supporting ERP harmonization and procurement process documentation, contributing to system transitions and cross-regional alignment.
  • Leading the development of scalable procurement processes and team structures to support global operations, fulfillment growth, and evolving responsibilities; guiding role transitions, onboarding new hires, and expanding sourcing maturity.
  • Contributing to global sourcing initiatives by collaborating with EMEA peers to align sourcing strategies, supplier segmentation, and contract approaches across shared supplier networks.
  • Driving continuous improvement in procurement maturity through cost modeling, supplier collaboration frameworks, and harmonization of business reviews and scorecards.
  • Participating in strategic planning forums and business reviews, representing procurement in discussions on supply strategy, resource planning, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Supporting regional risk mitigation and future manufacturing readiness through consignment inventory oversight, tariff impact planning, and coordination of material flows between fulfillment sites.
  • Championing a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making

 

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing or global operations environment.
  • 3+ years of people management experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage change and  grow team capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing workflows, supply planning principles, and MRP/ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, navigate escalations, and ensure continuity of supply in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Ability to balance day-to-day execution with strategic improvements and change management.

  • Experience implementing procurement process improvements, ERP transitions, or system integrations.
  • Technical aptitude preferred; familiarity with supplier quality, engineering support or manufacturing process is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of total cost of ownership (TCO), cost modeling, and commodity-level price drivers.
  • Understanding of global sourcing dynamics, including trade compliance, tariff strategies, and inter-regional material flow.
  • Proficiency in a second language - particularly French, Mandarin, or Japanese - is highly preferred but not required.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Supply‑chain certification (e.g. APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, CLTD; ISM CPSM; CIPS/MCIPS) a plus
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations such as REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, or related product regulations.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Oracle Analytics) for supply and inventory reporting is a plus.
  • Experience supporting contract manufacturer relationships and regional fulfillment models.
