HID’s Global Process Excellence Department: 

The mission of the Global Process Excellence team is to improve the customer experience by developing an HID culture focused on Lean, Agile and Continuous Improvement. To leverage tools and data to enable rapid decisions & action towards success. We are on a journey to establish and sustain a "System Thinking" culture that empowers employees to make faster & better decisions in the eyes of the customer.


As our Process Excellence Specialist, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Cultivate trusted advisor relationships across the organization including engineering, finance, human resources, sales, marketing, and operations through demonstrated expertise and customer aligned results.
  • Facilitate teams through current state assessments, strategy development and alignment, maturity modeling and Objective & Key Results (OKRs) execution
  • Alignment of measurement systems, metrics and OKRs with strategic initiatives and improvement activities to enhance the customer experience
  • Identification of large and small improvement opportunities and facilitation of continuous improvement methodology to closure
  • Guide teams through proper project management structure and integrate agile methodology when possible
  • Help standardize training material, but deliver audience aligned messaging to employees on basic CI methodology and tools
  • Structure and scope complex problems, apply a range of analytical tools, gain, and synthesize insights and develop solutions
  • Coach the scientific method and PDCA in improvement activities
  • Improve control / governance processes and visual controls
  • Utilize change management principles to ensure sustainability and desired cultural evolution
  • Assist in process and training documentation

 

What we will love about your background: 

  • Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated application of lean principles and the scientific method to problem solving (Value stream/Process mapping, visual management/5S, Kanban, standard work, metric boards, RACI, FMEAs and DMAIC/A3 problem solving)
  • Strong stakeholder management, analytical, interviewing and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with and positively influence all levels of the organization.
  • Working knowledge of Objectives and Key Results framework
  • A proven track record of delivering tangible cost savings and/or process improvements that create a better customer experience
  • Experience with inferential analysis and modeling a plus
  • Survey experience and sentiment analysis a plus

 

 

Your Experience and Education include:             

  • Undergraduate degree required; science/engineering preferred
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • SAFe or Scrum certification a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement
  • Previous experience applying lean methodology to manufacturing and transactional business functions (Operations, HR, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, IT, etc.)
  • Experience in facilitation and coaching of cross functional teams
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience in graphics communication a plus
