This is a supervisor role that ensures accountability for the team and that day-to-day Order management activities inside the order Entry team are being achieved. This role requires high level of leadership skills and process knowledge critical for daily and autonomous Order management goal/KPI attainment. Plan and communicate Esker queue demand, ensure team members follow Work Instructions and department rules/guidelines appropriately. Conduct 1x1 meetings with the employees, assisting with their yearly goal achievements and communicating with management.  Ability to perform light to medium troubleshooting activity is key for success. You will additionally be required to support other regions (globally) as per business needs for any order management activities. Training for new hires along with knowledge into scheduling activities for production control will be part of the data entry training and responsibilities under order management.

As our Order Entry Specialist Supervisor, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Overseeing the onboarding/hiring/interview process along with the order management/Order Entry training program and ramping plan for new hires.
  • Acting as the point of contact for internal issues with systems/tools where an IT ticket is needed and follow-up is required.
  • Monitoring and maintaining employee performance and accountability by assisting employees via coaching, mentoring, performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensuring employees are educated on departmental issues and aware of the companies’ goals and objectives
  • Contributing to the culture of continuous improvement by looking for and communicating opportunities to improve performance.
  • Proactively logging and escalating potential issues to minimize safety, quality, order entry issues and any potential inefficiencies
  • Participating in root cause, corrective/preventive action activities as required. (TTP)
  • Understanding workload for the day and impacts around holidays, price updates and any additional impacts to order intake and plan accordingly. 
  • Providing updates on daily activities to leadership as needed.
  • Acting as the point of contact in between customer care/production/shipping/warehouse and other support areas to resolve day-to-day Order Entry issues.
  • Order processing (only as needed to maintain SLA requirements).
  • Managing all order entry tasks for NAM region as a priority, proactively supporting other regions as required.
  • Ensuring customer information/product information is accurately replicated in the OCR tool Esker, reporting any inconsistencies and ensuring the issue is resolved.   
  • Informing the Pending and Phone and E-mail team of all orders with pre-booking holds applied (issues preventing the booking of orders) in order to transfer ownership to Customer Communications to resolve.
  • Building your knowledge of HID and HID products; attend training as required.
  • Working seamlessly with the NAM production control team if data entry is required for Order management.

 

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • Must have a minimum of three years manufacturing or data entry experience.
  • Associates degree preferred, or equivalent combination of training and related experience.
  • Must possess the ability to work at a fast pace with very high attention to detail.
  • Must have flexibility to work overtime as required (including weekends) and periodically work a different shift.  
  • Accepts and embraces constant change as a necessary factor to success.
  • Subject matter expert and main source of technical knowledge.
