Material Handler II role will be responsible for daily operations like (but not limited to) material movement, cycle counting, receiving/shipping, and order picking to meet key performance indicators. The position requires compliance with standard operating procedures while collaborating with peers, maintaining equipment through 5S practices, and operating automatic or semi-automatic machinery. Candidates must actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and proactively escalate safety, quality, or efficiency issues. To succeed, individuals must work at a fast pace with high attention to detail, embrace constant change, and maintain flexibility for overtime and shift adjustments.

As our Material Handler II, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

• Complying with SOPs and work instructions related to job function.
• Being held accountable to performance standards to ensure the output positively contributes to area specific KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).
• Participating in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working collaboratively with peers and internal customers.
• Setting up and operating a variety of automatic and semi-automatic machines.
• Conducting manual production operations as required.
• Performing daily 5s of equipment and surrounding areas as required.
• Contributing to the culture of continuous improvement by looking for and communicating opportunities to improve performance.
• Proactively logging and escalating potential issues in order to minimize safety, quality, delivery issues and / or operational inefficiencies.
• Participating in root cause, corrective / preventive action activities as required.
• Maintaining of personal training log though THRIVE
• Implementing Help Desk Tickets both IT and Engineering based.
• Being responsible for daily Warehouse duties inclusive of but not limited to the below listed and any other procedures deemed necessary to ensure operational KPIs are achieved.

Your Experience and Background include:  

• Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent.
• Must possesses the ability to work at a fast pace with very high attention to detail.
• Must have flexibility to work overtime as required (including weekends) and periodically work a different shift. 
• Requires the ability to learn, use and maintain specialized equipment.
• Accepts and embraces constant change as a necessary factor to success.
• One year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of operating a Powered Industrial Vehicle (preferably standup) is preferred.
