The Manufacturing Engineering Technician is responsible for creating, managing, and updating documentation required for product manufacturing, including change orders and artwork proofing. This role supports the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving flexibility, productivity, and efficiency across HID production lines. The technician collaborates with global teams and subcontractors to implement process improvements and maintain manufacturing documentation. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.

As our Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Managing change implementation and control processes while identifying opportunities for systemic improvements.
  • Creating and updating graphic proofs for manufactured products.
  • Maintaining accurate manufacturing documentation and change records.
  • Delivering work through a comprehensive, systematic, and documented approach.
  • Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams and global partners.
  • Supporting manufacturing engineering initiatives focused on improving operational flexibility and efficiency.
  • Coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure documentation accuracy and alignment with production requirements.
  • Assisting in implementing engineering changes and maintaining related documentation.
  • Ensuring quality and accuracy of artwork proofing and product documentation.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes. 

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0–5 years of hands-on design or related technical experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable working in a global networking environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, and international technical standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with Oracle systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows.
  • Reactivity and clear communication as cornerstones of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and quality.
  • Independent, proactive, and self-driven with a can-do attitude.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or engineering teams in a production environment is preferred.
  • Experience working with product documentation, artwork proofing, or change control processes is preferred.
