HID is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to be an integral member of the Enablement Team. Manufacturing Engineering contributes to the success of HID by ensuring:
•    New products are effectively brought through the industrialization phase
•    Participate in Value Analysis and Value Engineering of our products and processes
•    provide product and process sustaining support to our fulfillment centers


As our Manufacturing Engineer II, you’ll support HID’s success by: 
•    Executing LRVTs (Launch Readiness Validation Test) for product launch
•    Providing technical support to Operations during the design and set up of manufacturing processes
•    Completing MCO/ECT requests in Agile as required. Assists in the development of layouts/floor plans, routings, and work instructions.
•    Testing and troubleshooting equipment while documenting procedures with the goal of process improvement
•    Supporting may include prototype/production manufacturing coordination, equipment assembly, and/or installation and rework as required
•    Providing Level 1 technical and operational support
•    Ensuring proper manufacturing documentation is established and current, collaborating with engineering in developing manufacturing friendly designs and helping to ensure designs are compatible with current manufacturing capabilities
•    Assisting with root cause analysis and corrective action for field issues
•    Creating and maintaining of Process Control Plans, FMEA, and 8D Root Cause Analysis
 
What we will love about your background: 
•    Able to diagnose and troubleshoot any electrical/mechanical issues in the production environment
•    Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately and follow a production or NPI development schedule to complete deliverables on time
•    Capable of proposing & implementing new ideas regarding simplification and improvement of business processes
 
Your Experience and Education include:             
•    Desired Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
•    2-4 years of manufacturing or fulfillment operations experience
•    Experience in implementing/analyzing SPC controls is desired
•    Experience working with Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies is preferred, including Value Stream Mapping
•    Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows and Linux
•    Working knowledge of ERP software and PLM platforms
