Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, the Inside Sales Account Specialist-Strategic Accounts’s primary responsibilities are to protect and grow existing revenues, maximize HID installed base market share, and strengthen product selection policies through strategic planning and relationship building with HID customers within North America. This role will work in supporting HID’s Strategic Account Managers for NAM (United States and Canada). The Inside Sales Account Specialist-Strategic Accounts must effectively build and maintain relationships within customer organizations including senior management and all subsequent departments essential to advancing HID Global’s market position. Candidate must effectively manage all sales, service and other challenges associated with HID products and services.

HID’s Physical Access Control Solutions Department:
HID PAC’s Business Unit focuses on the growth of new clients and existing clients where we leverage the latest card and reader technologies to solve the security challenges of our clients. Other areas of focus will include authentication, card sub systems, card encoding, Biometrics, location services and all other aspects of a physical access control infrastructure.
As our Inside Sales Account Specialist-Strategic Accounts, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Introducing and selling products to new and current customers, increasing sales and meeting individual and team sales quotas
- Presenting in person and virtually and to contribute to training curriculum for partner presentations
- Building and managing the sales pipeline by entering all communication notes, commitments, and sales opportunities in SalesForce
- Performing sales activities and negotiates/closes business, passing orders to customer service for processing
- Independently creating product awareness
- Assisting management with devising plans and strategies for the market
- Identifying and contacting prospective customers to determine product needs and performs introductory sales presentations to match company's products with identified needs. Build relationships with potential clients and identifies and records decision-making units
- Remaining knowledgeable of company's products to facilitate sales efforts
- Providing follow-up with customers and prospects to ensure customer satisfaction with products provided
- Being responsible for responding to requests for information or requests for quotes from Web site visitors, email and phone contacts within assigned territory
- Listening and probes to understand clients' needs and is capable of communicating these effectively
- Is proactive in attitude and willing to learn new processes and procedures, contributing to the development of the position
- Taking responsibility for all actions and resolving open issues selecting and using available HID Global resources
- Assisting with maintaining customer price books, part numbers and other purchasing data individually and through their associated quoting and pricing systems
- Assisting Strategic Account Manager with preparation for QBR and other business meetings

Your Experience and Education include:
- Associate degree or equivalent training and experience in sales, territory sales or customer service preferred
- Minimum 4 years overall experience
- 4 years sales experience in the Access Control Marketplace preferred
- Proven & verifiable track record of successful quota achievement
- Effective sales skills and up to date telecommunication skills
- Demonstrated time management, communication, decision-making, presentation and organization skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and complete short-term and/or long-term tasks and project assignments on time
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and written
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
- Professional appearance and presentation required
