The Global Buyer for EAT RFID plays a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end procurement process across global operations. This includes executing MRP-driven purchasing, managing supplier relationships, coordinating with distribution centers (DC’s), and supporting strategic initiatives such as VBO, lead time optimization, inventory control, and SLOB (Slow Moving and Obsolete) activities.

As our Global Buyer, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Executing purchase orders based on MRP signals for released items.
- Maintaining ERP system accuracy (e.g., Oracle) with daily updates on purchasing activities.
- Tracking and managing purchase cost updates and PPV (Purchase Price Variance) or scrap orders.
- Collaborating with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to confirm ship dates and freight methods.
- Communicating effectively with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues.
- Ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Ways of Working
- Working closely with global distribution centres to align supply chain flows.
- Ensuring freight methods are optimised and communicated across teams.
- Monitoring inventory levels and support initiatives to reduce SLOB exposure.
- Collaborating with planning and operations teams to align inventory strategies.
Your Experience and Background include:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or 5 years related work experience
- Strong Supply Chain Management and Supply Chain Planning experience
- Understand Logistic flow an basic shipping terms and conditions
- Proven experience in global procurement, preferably in RFID or electronics manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of MRP systems and ERP platforms (Oracle preferred).
- Excellent communication and supplier negotiation skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience in cost tracking and inventory optimisation.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a SAFE Agile framework.
- Individual must be a self-starter and motivated to drive improvements.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experienced in using various planning systems (Oracle, Steelwedge, E2Open, etc…)
- Proficiency in Oracle Buying
